Ni, VMS deposits
After relocation from EU to Australia I became a member of contract geologist’s team working under Terra Search Ltd. short term contracts. I got opportunity to work for various exciting exploration projects within Australia and finally I could pick up my very first experience as an exploration geologist.
I worked for Jabiru Metals; a copper-zinc-lead-silver VMS deposit Jabiru’s Teutonic Bore Exploration Project, located 70km by road north of Leonora, Western Australia. A next extension of my experience came out with contract given by Mincor Resources NL which brought me to one of the world’s great nickel provinces called the Kambalda Nickel District, in Western Australia a distance of about 560km east from Perth.
Position & Responsibilities
- As a contract junior geologist I started to work on various exploration projects in Australia; with key accountability to provide assistance and technical support for exploration drilling activities (DH, RAB, RC) through geological and geotechnical logging, surface sampling; and field mapping under senior geologists supervision.
